GAIDARANA LIMNI
Gaidarana Limni (the Lakes of Gaidarana) is a quiet group of small, natural water pools set in a large green meadow in central-northern Corfu. The pools are the surviving remnants of a massive historical Venetian-era lake called Lake Gaudar that once covered the Ropa Valley before being drained. The quiet pools and surrounding meadows attract a variety of local and migratory bird species.
The site is located in central Corfu, near the village of Gardelades and close to the Ropa Valley birding area. You can explore the area via small walking paths and enjoy open views across the lake and surrounding area.
