Red-rumped Swallow (Cecropis daurica)

The Red-rumped Swallow (Cecropis daurica) is in the family Swallows/Swifts and is a graceful, long-winged swallow with a pale belly, dark blue back, and distinctive reddish rump and nape. It builds mud nests under cliffs or buildings and is found across southern Europe, Asia, and Africa where it feeds on flying insects.
