Zitting Cisticola (Cisticola juncidis)

The Zitting Cisticola (Cisticola juncidis) is in the family Warblers/Flycatchers and is also known as the Streaked Fantail Warbler, is a small, inconspicuous bird with a distinctive, high-pitched call. It has brown, streaked plumage and a short, rounded tail. Found in open grasslands and wetlands across southern Europe, Africa, and Asia, this bird is known for its repetitive, zitting song performed during display flights.
