Sand-runner Shieldbug (Sciocoris cursitans)

The Sand-runner Shield Bug (Sciocoris cursitans) is a small (4.5-5mm), ground-dwelling species of stink bug (family Pentatomidae). It is notable for its flattened shape and habit of scurrying across sandy or dry soils rather than living primarily on plants.
