Large Sow-thistle Aphid (Uroleucon sonchi)

The Large Sow-thistle Aphid (Uroleucon sonchi) is a large, dark, reddish-brown, and glossy aphid that primarily feeds on sow-thistle plants but is also a pest of cultivated lettuce. It is native to Europe but can now be found across the globe.
