Arachnids

Nursery-web Spider (Pisaura mirabilis)

Nursery-web spiders are in the family 'Pisauridae'. Females of the family are known for building, tent-like, nursery webs where she places her egg sac inside, and stands guard outside, hence the common name. Nursery-web spiders are roaming hunters that do not use their webs for catching prey.
