The Long-jawed Orb-weaver (Tetragnatha extensa) is also widely known as the common stretch spider, is a highly adapted species of araneomorph spider found throughout the Northern Hemisphere. Belonging to the family Tetragnathidae, it is famously recognised for its elongated body, exceptionally long legs, and disproportionately large, powerful jaws.
