Mediterranean Banded Centipede (Scolopendra cingulata)

The Mediterranean Banded Centipede (Scolopendra cingulata) is a species known for its black and yellow-gold bands and is one of the smaller centipedes in the 'Scolopendridae' family, reaching about 10–15 cm in length. It is native to southern Europe and around the Mediterranean, and its venom, while not as toxic as other species, can still cause a painful bite.
