House Centipede (Scutigera coleoptrata)

The House Centipede (Scutigera coleoptrata) is a fast, insect-eating arthropod that is common in homes around the world. Despite its alarming appearance, it is generally considered harmless to humans and is often beneficial because it preys on other household pests.
