The Large Tenthredopsis (Tenthredopsis litterata) is also commonly known as the Inscribed Sawfly. It is a species of sawfly belonging to the family Tenthredinidae in the order Hymenoptera, making it a relative of ants, bees, and wasps, though like all sawflies, it completely lacks the characteristic narrow "wasp-waist".
