Green Lacewing (Chrysoperla mediterranea)

The Green Lacewing (Chrysoperla mediterranea) is a beneficial insect, recognised by its intense green colour, red head markings, and narrow wings. It is a predatory insect, with both larvae and adults feeding on pests like aphids and mites. The species is uniquely identified by its vibrational courtship song, a complex pattern of sounds used for mating.
