Other Insects
The Green Lacewing (Chrysoperla mediterranea) is a beneficial insect, recognised by its intense green colour, red head markings, and narrow wings. It is a predatory insect, with both larvae and adults feeding on pests like aphids and mites. The larvae, nicknamed the "trash bug" or "junk bug", pile debris, such as dead insects, cast-off skins, lichen, and dust on their backs using special bristles for camouflage and protection.
