The Coccid-tending Ant (Acropyga sp.) is a genus of tiny, subterranean ants found in tropical and warm temperate regions worldwide. They engage in a unique and mutually beneficial relationship with specialised root mealybugs, which they "farm" for a nutritious substance called honeydew.
