Antlion (Creoleon plumbeus)

The Antlion (Creoleon plumbeus) belongs to the family Myrmeleontidae. It is often called a "stink fly" because it can release a foul smell when threatened. Unlike some other antlions, the larvae of this species are non-pit-building predators.

The Corfu Nature Website currently contains over 6,000 photographs of  more than 1,100 wildlife species found on Corfu.
