Southern Emperor (Saturnia pavoniella)

The Southern Emperor Moth (Saturnia pavoniella) is a large, striking moth belonging to the family Saturniidae. It is a close relative of the more widely known Small Emperor Moth (Saturnia pavonia) but is generally larger and found primarily in southern Europe, including regions like Italy, the Balkans, and Greece.
