Moths

Hairy Sweep Moth (Canephora hirsuta)

Hairy Sweep Moth (Canephora hirsuta), a type of Bagworm moth, is a distinctive moth found in parts of southern Europe. It has a furry, reddish-brown body with narrow, pale-edged wings. Active mostly at night, it inhabits dry, open habitats like scrublands. Its larvae form a portable case around themselves made from fragments of leaves and other dry plant material as camouflage against predators.
