Crepuscular Burnet (Zygaena carniolica)

The Crepuscular Burnet (Zygaena carniolica) is a day-flying moth known for its striking appearance, variable characteristics, and aposematic (warning) coloration. As with all burnet moths, it is poisonous, storing cyanide in its body as a defence against predators.
