Heldreich's Dwarf Mantis (Ameles heldreichi)

The Heldreich's Dwarf Mantis (Ameles heldreichi), is a small, highly agile species of praying mantis belonging to the family Mantidae. First described by entomologist Carl Brunner von Wattenwyl in 1882, this predatory insect is known for its excellent camouflage, aggressive hunting behaviour, and rapid escape jumps.
