Mantids
The European Dwarf Mantis (Ameles spallanzania) is a small praying mantis, measuring 18–40 mm in length. It lives in Mediterranean areas, and its colour can be green, brown, grey, or ocher for camouflage. Males and females exhibit sexual dimorphism; males are slender and have functional wings, while females are stubbier and cannot fly due to vestigial wings.
