Slender Burrowing Grasshopper (Acrotylus patruelis)

The Slender Burrowing Grasshopper (Acrotylus patruelis) is a species of band wing grasshopper native to Southern Europe. It inhabits arid, open environments, including Mediterranean scrublands, often in sandy or stony areas. When disturbed, the adults fly in short, startling bursts, revealing their brightly coloured hind wings.
