Le Grillon des Cistes/The Rockrose Cricket (Arachnocephalus vestitus)

The Rockrose Cricket (Arachnocephalus vestitus) is a rare, flightless bush cricket found in parts of southeastern Europe. It has a stout body, long legs, and a spider-like appearance, which inspired its name. Preferring dry, grassy habitats, it is nocturnal and predatory, feeding on smaller insects.
