Lamenting Grasshopper (Eyprepocnemis plorans)

The Lamenting Grasshopper (Eyprepocnemis plorans) is an insect in the family Acrididae. It is named for the distinctive striped patterns on its eyes and legs, not for making any sound resembling a lament. It is found in Southern Europe and southern Greece.
