Parachute (Marasmius sp.)

Marasmius sp. refers to any of the approximately 500 species within the fungus genus Marasmius. These fungi are commonly known as Pinwheels, Parachutes, or Horsehair Fungi due to their typical small size, wiry stems, and the characteristic tough, pliant texture of their fruit bodies. The "sp." is a scientific abbreviation used when the exact species is unidentified or not specified.
