Fungi

Hebeloma (Hebeloma sp.)

Hebeloma is a genus of fungi commonly known as "poison pies," which are often mistaken for edible mushrooms but are toxic and cause severe gastrointestinal upset. These ectomycorrhizal mushrooms grow in woodlands and grassy areas, forming a symbiotic relationship with trees. Key identifying features include pale-brown caps and a radish-like smell.
