Goldenhaired Inkcap (Parasola auricoma)

The Goldenhaired Inkcap (Parasola auricoma) is a small, delicate, and short-lived mushroom found in woodlands across Europe. Known for its rust-coloured young cap, it is a type of inkcap, though its gills shrivel rather than dissolve into a black, inky fluid. The species was reclassified in 2001 from its former genus, Coprinus.

The Corfu Nature Website currently contains over 6,000 photographs of  more than 1,100 wildlife species found on Corfu.
