Artist's Bracket (Ganoderma sp.)

The Artist's Bracket (Ganoderma applanatum), also known as the artist's conk or artist's fungus, is a perennial polypore with a cosmopolitan distribution. It gets its name from its white, pore-bearing underside, which bruises dark brown when scratched or "drawn" on with a sharp object.

The Corfu Nature Website currently contains over 6,000 photographs of  more than 1,100 wildlife species found on Corfu.
