Twin-spot Centurion (Sargus bipunctatus)

Twin-spot Centurion (Sargus bipunctatus) is a European species of soldier fly in the family Stratiomyidae. It is one of the largest members of its genus in Europe, with a wing length reaching up to 10mm and an overall body length of about 15mm. It is named for the pair of small white spots on the frons (face), just above the antennae, which are particularly distinct in females.
