The Tiger Mosquito (Aedes albopictus) is a highly invasive mosquito species native to Southeast Asia. Over the past 50 years, it has spread globally, facilitated by international trade and its ability to adapt to diverse climates, including temperate regions. The species is a significant public health concern due to its daytime biting habits and its role as a vector for viruses such as dengue, chikungunya, and Zika.
