Marsh Crane Fly (Tipula oleracea)

The Marsh Crane Fly (Tipula oleracea) is a large, harmless insect with a mosquito-like appearance which is native to Europe. Adults are beneficial pollinators and the larvae, known as 'leatherjackets', are common pests of crops.
