The Glass-winged Hoverfly (Eristalis similis) is a Palearctic species of hoverfly belonging to the family Syrphidae in the order Diptera (true flies). Like other drone flies in the Eristalis genus, they resemble honeybee drones in appearance, which helps them avoid predators.
