Fungus-gnat (Sciara sp.)

A Fungus-gnat from the genus Sciara is a small, dark-winged insect, also known as a 'sciarid fly', that is a common pest of potted plants. The larvae develop in moist soil and feed on decaying plant material, fungi, and sometimes living plant roots.
