Bluebottle (Calliphora vicina)

The Bluebottle (Calliphora vicina), is a common blowfly across Europe and beyond. Recognized by its metallic blue body and reddish eyes, it is often found near decaying matter, where females lay eggs. Its larvae help decompose organic material, while adults feed on nectar and waste.
