Lesser Emperor (Anax parthenope)

The Lesser Emperor (Anax parthenope) is a large, fast-flying dragonfly found across Europe. It has a green thorax, blue abdomen, and distinctive yellow markings. Preferring still or slow-flowing waters, it hunts flying insects and is noted for its strong, agile flight during summer months.
