Common Darter (Sympetrum striolatum)

The Common Darter (Sympetrum striolatum) is a medium-sized dragonfly widespread across Europe. Males are red, females yellow-brown, both with distinctive dark wing veins. Active from late summer to autumn, it frequents ponds, lakes, and slow streams.
