Dragonflies/Damselflies
The Black Pennant (Selysiothemis nigra) is a small, unique species of dragonfly belonging to the skimmer and percher family, Libellulidae and is the only member of its genus, Selysiothemis. While traditionally native to desert oases and arid regions, this highly migratory insect is currently drawing intense scientific interest due to its rapid, climate-driven northward expansion across Europe.
