Wall Brown (Lasiommata megera)

A medium sized, brown/orange butterfly in the family Nymphalidae (Brush-footed butterflies)
Flying in February | March | April | May | June | July | August | September | October

The Wall Brown (Lasiommata megera) gets its common name from the habit of resting on walls with its wings open but you are more likely to come across a Wall Brown resting on the ground, particularly on stony coastal cliff-top paths. It is common on Corfu.
