The Tree Grayling (Hipparchia statilinus) is rather distinct with its light grey colour mottled with brown. There are two large black eyespots with a yellow ring and white centre on the forewing, but only one is normally visible. On the hindwing, a dark area with a black dot at the bottom is an identifying feature.
