Southern White Admiral (Limenitis reducta)

A large, dark blue butterfly in the family Nymphalidae (Brush-footed butterflies)
Flying in April | May | June | July | August | September | October

The Southern White Admiral (Limenitis reducta) is an easily identified butterfly, and is quite conspicuous with it's upper wings being dark blue in colour, with bright white bands. It is often seen landing on honeysuckle where it is known to lay it's eggs.
