Meadow Brown (Maniola jurtina)

A large, brown/orange butterfly in the family Nymphalidae (Brush-footed butterflies)
Flying in April | May | June | July | August | September | October

The Meadow Brown (Maniola jurtina) is one of the most abundant butterfly species in many habitats in Corfu. It is frequently seen in late Spring, flying low over the vegetation, even in dull weather when most other butterflies are inactive.
