Comma (Polygonia c-album)

A medium sized, orange butterfly in the family Nymphalidae (Brush-footed butterflies)
Flying in March | April | May | June | July

The Comma (Polygonia c-album), is a butterfly species belonging to the family Nymphalidae. The angular notches on the edges of the forewings are characteristic of the genus Polygonia, which is why species in the genus are commonly referred to as angel-wing butterflies.
