Yellow-legged Gull (Larus michahellis)

The Yellow-legged Gull is a robust, medium-to-large-sized waterside bird with striking white plumage and grey wings. It features a bright yellow bill with a red spot and vivid yellow legs. These gulls are commonly found along coastlines, islands, and inland waters across Europe and the Mediterranean. Known for their loud, raucous calls, they are opportunistic feeders, scavenging for fish, invertebrates, and human food waste. The Yellow-legged Gull's adaptability makes it a successful and widespread species.
