Eurasian Spoonbill (Platalea leucorodia)
The Eurasian Spoonbill (Platalea leucorodia) is a large, wading waterside bird with white plumage and a distinctive spoon-shaped bill. Found in wetlands across Europe, it feeds on fish and aquatic invertebrates. Its graceful presence and unique bill make it easily recognisable. Unlike herons, spoonbills fly with their necks outstretched.
