Sardinian Warbler (Sylvia melanocephala)

The Sardinian Warbler (Sylvia melanocephala) is in the family Warblers/Flycatchers and is a small warbler with a long tail similar to that of a wren, short wings and small bill with an obvious red surround to the eyes. The male has a black head, white front and grey/blue back. Females are less striking, with a grey head and pale brown body.
