Red-backed Shrike (Lanius collurio)

The Red-backed Shrike (Lanius collurio) is a small migratory bird found across Europe. Males have a grey head, reddish-brown back, and black facial mask, while females are more muted. They feed on insects and small vertebrates and are known for impaling prey on thorns.
