Pigeon (Columba livia)

The Pigeon (Columba livia), also known as the rock dove, is a medium-sized bird in the family Pigeons/Doves, with a stout body, short neck, and slender bill. Wild pigeons have blue-gray plumage with iridescent neck feathers, while domestic varieties show diverse colours. They feed on seeds and grains and are known for their strong homing ability.
