🇬🇧 The Montagu’s Harrier (Circus pygargus) is a slender, graceful bird of prey found across Europe. Males are pale grey with black wingtips whereas females are brown with streaks. It nests on the ground in open farmland and grasslands, hunting small mammals, birds, and insects.

🇬🇷 Ο Κίκος του Μόνταγκου (Circus pygargus) είναι ένα λεπτό, χαριτωμένο αρπακτικό πουλί που βρίσκεται σε όλη την Ευρώπη. Τα αρσενικά έχουν ανοιχτό γκρι χρώμα με μαύρες άκρες φτερών, ενώ τα θηλυκά είναι καφέ με ραβδώσεις. Φωλιάζει στο έδαφος σε ανοιχτές γεωργικές εκτάσεις και λιβάδια, κυνηγώντας μικρά θηλαστικά, πουλιά και έντομα.
