Mediterranean Gull (Ichthyaetus melanocephalus)

The Mediterranean Gull (Ichthyaetus melanocephalus) is a medium-sized seabird with a pure white body, pale grey wings, and in breeding plumage, a striking black head and bright red bill. It is a waterside bird found along coasts, wetlands, and inland lakes, it breeds in colonies and feeds on insects, fish, and invertebrates.
