Little Ringed Plover (Charadrius dubius)

The Little Ringed Plover (Charadrius dubius) is a small wading waterside bird with sandy-brown upper parts, white underparts, and a distinctive black-and-white head pattern with a yellow eye-ring. It is found near freshwater shores and gravel banks where it nests on open ground.
