Great Crested Grebe (Podiceps cristatus)

The Great Crested Grebe (Podiceps cristatus) is a distinctive waterside bird known for its elaborate head plumes and striking black and white face. Found across Europe and Asia, it inhabits freshwater lakes and ponds. During the breeding season, they perform a unique courtship dance. Their diet consists mainly of fish, which they catch with agile dives.
