Goldfinch (Carduelis carduelis)

The Goldfinch (Carduelis carduelis) is in the family Tits/Finches/Sparrows and is a small, vibrant songbird with striking red, white, and black head markings. Its wings feature a distinctive yellow bar, contrasting with its black and white plumage. Often found in gardens, woodlands, and meadows across Europe, it feeds on seeds, particularly thistle.
