The Common Sandpiper (Actitis hypoleucos) is a small, slender waterside shorebird with brown upper parts and white underparts. It has a distinctive, jerky flight and a white wing bar. Found along shorelines and wetlands across Europe, Asia, and Africa, it forages for insects and small invertebrates.
